How long are live mussels good for?

I got some black live mussels at the local seafood store. They are in a plastic bag, wrapped in paper. How long will they be good for in the fridge?

if you keep them in a container in the fridge with a moist paper towel covering them and a ziplock bag of ice on top of them ( replace ice daily) they can be fine for about a week.
