How long before you expanded your equipment

From the day you started your basic SW aquarium, how long did it take before you upgraded OR added extra equipment.....

I'm going to say a basic setup is as:
-Tank
-Lighting
-Heater
-Wave/flow pump
-Return pump
-Skimmer
-live rocks

What did you start with and ended up with...

I'm not going to state what I ended up with on every reef... ;Wacky

But, The first thing's on my list to start off with:

1) 4 stage RO/DI unit with an built in TDS meter
2) Tunze 3155 auto water top off system

Wasnt long for me. maybe a week or so but now it seems like there is never enough money for what i want LOL.It really is a sickness

Within two years of my first reef and more than likely during the first year.

Upgraded my skimmer, started with a DIY counter current.
DI resin, started with well water.
Actinic supplementation.
CPR overflow, started with DIY overflow.
Refugium/DSB sump, started with old DIY trickle filter.
Several ATO/kalk systems all DIY.
Added more powerheads for flow.

At 2 year mark was upgrading from 38 gallon to a 55 gallon.
