I rebooted my tank about 9 months ago and my toadstool has (to my knowledge) been retracted the entire time! I've even looked at it in the middle of the night to see if it has a secret night life...no luck.

I know it's still alive because the fleshy part is still soft to the touch. My water parameters are good, and stable.

Ammonia - 0; Nitrates - 10, Phosphorous - 15ppb, Salt - 1.026sg, Alk - 10, Ca - 485, Mg 1500, Temp 77-78. PH - 8.1-8.2; Flow is moderate - I turn over the tank about 30x/hour.

I’ve had one not open it’s polyps for 8 months. It always expanded though. Since your measurable water parameters look good, my recommendation would be to play with flow, positioning, and light to see if any of it makes a difference. Do one thing at a time though, and give it a week between adjustments, so you know what it ended up liking. It could also be acclimating to your tank, in which case it might be a good idea to try leaving it alone for a week or two first—to rule that out. Good luck.
