How long can fish go without food?

I bought a $25 feeder on Amazon and have zero complaints. Works as it should and it was cheaper than any of the tank inhabitants that use it.

It's a lot easier for fish to go 5 days without food then 5 days without water.

Not sure if the new eheim ones are rechargeable (my old one that took a swim wasn't - 4x AAs) but if you hate changing batteries just get one of the rechargeables ones off amazon. I feed daily and it can go longer than a month between charges.
