How long can inverts last in shipping?

I placed an order for trochus snails, hermits, nassarius snails, chaeto, pods, etc and it looks like there have been some shipping issues. Usually the 3 day shipping time is fine but what is the max on this?

I would say everything but pods will be dead

I think there are lots of variables here, packing, initial health, shipping temp etc. I remember as a kid going to the beach and collecting shells. 4-5 days later when we were packing to leave my mother emptied my damp shorts pockets to wash and found a live snail.. not that it's is the same but you never know, something may survive just check the package if anything isn't blaently dead try to start acclimating.

That’s my thought. Got my tracking and was supposed to be delivered yesterday but I got the notification yesterday that it arrived in Puerto Rico... I live in California. Doesn’t give me much hope here.

I accidentally left a turbo snail in a puddle of water outside my tank the other day. Needless to say it survived 4+ days with just a small bit of water.

Well it came in yesterday after a diversion to Puerto Rico for some reason. Everything came in dead, snails were out of the shells, hermits destroyed, etc.

Why in the world, would something supposed to arrive in California, be diverted to Puerto Rico? I live in Puerto Rico and the things that are supposed to get hear, don't.
Believe me when I say that I feel your pain. I've actually had packages that have arrived at the distribution center in Puerto Rico, to then be sent back to the sender for no apparent reason.
So frustrating! Hopefully you'll get a refund.

Bumping as a relative question. Can a pack of snails sit outside for half the day or more until I get home? Wanting to beef up my CUC capacity but I hardly ever have time to be home when I could get the livestock delivery. Edit to add it is supposed to be 70-73 on tues and weds this week if they came by then.

As long as the temp holds you should be fine, you can also have them held at a local office (ups, fedex, usps etc.) And pick up on your way home if weather is questionable.
If it pick up point is the same as the carrier usually theres no charge.
My fedex is horrible where i live, ive auctually (yes im "that" person) arranged to have my live fedex packages delivered to the local ups office where they hold them for me on a specific shelf all temp controled and happy. Of course i have to arrange for this service and pay a small fee but its worth it in my opinion.

Talk about Shipping. A product was supposed to get to me from 20 minutes away but instead, they sent it to Melbourne which is hours away from me. Like, why the hell would they do that? Maybe to save opening a new thread, how many snails would you guys comfortably add at one time to a 75?

To get the free shipping from RC I have 88 snails in the cart, 40 of which are dwarf ceriths. No turbos (no stock).
