How long can shrimp stay in trap

I’ve trapped a jap. Pistol shrimp to rehoming. The store does not open for another hour, how long can the shrimp stay in the trap? And what would be the best way to transport him? Thanks

He should be fine in there for an hour - not much different than being in a bag and taken back from the store or being in transport for 3 days.
You can either put it in a bag or another container, or just keep it in the one that it’s in.
