Hey y’all I was just wondering how long I could keep saltwater that I already mixed?? I have a wave maker in the tank to keep it circulating. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now It’s in a Rubbermaid trash can with a lid and no sunlight can get to it. Thank you in advance for your help.

It will keep for a long while. However it will degrade over time. It will absorb Co2 ....ect

I mix up enough for 2 weeks worth of water changes, no problems.
I mix it at 72 degrees for 48 hrs and then turn everything off until needed. Give it a good 15 minute circulation and heat before the change and all good.

I use fritz high alk salt. I mixed it because I was gonna do a water change but now I am trying to hold off till we move my tank in a couple of weeks. Do y’all think it will last that long or should I dump it and just make new in a couple of weeks??

Depending on nutrients or if your system is consuming elements . That would help determine if using it and changing before the move .

I wouldn’t dump it .

Worse case scenario , you save the newly mixed water for when you move it
