It would it would be cool if you explained why you run then the way you do.

Time wise to simulate tropical 12 hour days. Those running less=save electricity. I like to look at my tanks in full light 5PM-8PM so I keep the lights on until then and then there is only one hour with lesser light before they go out. Coral coloration is not affected nor do I think the fish care. In my experience coral coloration is not much affected by running only 8 hours a day either, if the intensity is there and tank water free of yellowing compounds.

Four bulbs on for two hours in the morning, then all eight bulbs for 8 hours, then 4 bulbs for 2 hours at night.

Just switched to all LED but prior to that on a 55g DT:

Actinic 11
Whites 5 w/turn on 3 hrs. after Actinic
Also had one of the $7 low power Amazon LED moonlight strips that I never turned off.

I run 2 bulbs for 1.5 hours
all 6 bulbs for 7 hours
then 2 bulbs for last 1.5 hours

bulbs come on at noon and off at 10 pm
