What happens if it kept in a sps tank ?A long time, probably years if you supply the bi-valve with the right nutrition, it's a filter feeder so in my mind this type of invert is not going to do well in a ultra low nutrient system such as those designed for Sps. Scallops will probably thrive in a system designed for NPS ( Non-photosynthetic corals/ ahermatypic).
They will need a fine particle suspension of nutrients. Goniopower, ReefSnow or stirring up the detritus would be to their advantage.
Shall I dose goniopower? And should I dose it to its mouth or just into water?You will need to supplement it's feeding with food designed for filter feeders and then deal with the additional changes in water parameters that may have.
