Yes you can add a bacteria too help it along dr tims or something similar. !
As for your other question it all depends on how you started your tank with live rock or dry rock... if you started with dry rock it could take anything from 6 weeks and upwards for your tank too cycle .. if started with live rock then it will be less maybe a couple of weeks ..
