The bottle has nitrifying bacteria. Why cant he use this to cycle by dosing ammonia?It doesn't work that way, you need to either cycle the tank the old fashion way or add either Biospera or Dr. Tims to cycle the tank. The ARC coraline algae does add coraline spores to your tank, but it does not cycle your tank.
If i pour this in my tank for nirtifying bacteria, how long would it usually take to be fish safe and if anybody has used this product before how do you like it?![]()
Yes it does. It literally says it has nitrifying bacteria added into the bottle.It does not specify, to be used as a cycling agent. I have used it to add coraline algae spore to my tank, and it does work, for adding coraline spores to a tank.
