I was checking my Apex logs this morning and I noticed that my heater the last few days has been running for about 12 to 15 minutes per cycle. It's a 200 watt aqueon heater heating 50 total gallons temp is 79 degrees. Tank is down my basement so it's a little cooler down there. Just wondering if that a normal run time or should I upgraded to a 250 watt.

Your good on the wattage for the gallons.
How cool gets it in the basement?
And what is your on/off schedule set on the APEX

In the summer the basement is around 74 degrees but not that's it's getting colder out it will be around 68 degrees. Apex is set to turn At 79.1 and off at 79.3

You don't have much slack in your heating schedule.
Try on a 77.5 and off at 79.
You have a backup heater in your sump?
