How long for ammonia to appear?

Hi everyone,
I setup my tank 3 days ago. And I’m curious how long it will take for ammonia to appear? I cant buy dr tims ammonia in my country so i ghost feed each day. Tested my ammonia levels for the first time today and its still saying 0. i found pure ammoniachloride online tho thinking of buying this and mixing it with water and dosing that way but i still dont know the mixing ratio.
