My led died today and i was just wondering what an acceptable time without light would be? Im planning on buying an ai prime for the tank, but fastest shipping will get it here friday and the nearest LFS is a couple hours away, i know my corals will be ticked but id rather not drive down and back after work. Light went out Sunday afternoon and the tank gets hit with ~30 minutes of direct sun in the evening. Mix of lps and soft with a large bubble tip nem which i figure is the most light sensitive, though it got fed the night before the bulb burnt out. Thanks for any help!

If you can get sunlight in the tank, the anem if it needs it will crawl over to it. It is not a sessile creature, it will move where it needs to, but the corals in the way may get stung. If you need a quick fix, head to Wally world they have cheap lights that are led and if centered over anem should keep it alive. Remeber to break in your new light via acclimation.

Course I killed 2 rbtas because I didn't follow this advice... here: cheap led loving life (pic 2) kessil ap700 and yes I played with the settings a lot. Dead 2 weeks later (pic 1).
