Just as the title says. My tank was slightly yellow and hazy so I bought red sea activated carbon and put it in my canister filter at the outtake. How long will it take to make the tank clear? I've added 3-4x more than I'm meant to lol I don't know if that will effect it

impossible to comment without knowing how yellow, what is causing it, and how many gallons. In general, a couple of days

Depends on type and effectiveness of your filtration system

There are companies that set up tanks for trade shows and do what is called "wet skimming" its when you turn up the skimmer to produce output much faster than normal. It helps to clear cloudy water very fast (to the tune of a few hours vs a day of letting it settle) Keep an eye to make sure it does not overflow.

This may or may not help you, it is a widely used strategy from what I understand though. Please look into this further as it may not apply to your situation that you are dealing with. Firstly I would not generally describe cloudy as yellow like you have. I guess I'm kind of assuming you have a new tank.

Please provide so additional details so the experts can weigh in.

Age of tank, parameters, anything environmental contributors and what you have changed recently would help them diagnose.

Yeah I've seen that. No skimmer in my tank as its a nano and only has 2 clowns some inverts and I've orderd a six line wrasse and plan on getting a watchman goby so relatively low stocked.

Perameters are good. It's not dirty and can still see through I just want it even clearer. I do weekly 10-20 percent water changes.

Maybe the alge on the glass thatsmaking it like that? I dobt scrape it as I like the look and it will be food for the snails I got.

I just went with red sea as I trust thair products and it says will make water crystal clear. Noticed some change but I only put it in at around 1pm yesterday so it's only been 24 hours. Hopefully it does what it says.

Also I got a feather duster worm yesterday. Drip aclimate and its lost its fan (the pretty part). Its in the tank and hasn't moved location so it must like it but will it grow a new fan? Cause it looks kinda creepy lol like something out of a horror movie
