How long is too long for power outage?

My power has been out for about an hour. They’re saying it could be another 2-3 hours before it comes on. I’ve never had to deal with this before. How long until I need to worry a generator? I use no battery backups so everything on the tank is out. Tia

Don’t know the answer but I would recommend a generator. It will save the worry and the tank. I had a power loss from a tornado on Memorial Day and thought I could get through it but lost everything. Almost gave up the hobby but here I find myself starting over. Generator is a good investment anyway because you will have it for the future. Looking back it, the money I have spent to start back up would have paid for the generator.
