Im doing a fishless cycle, and my nitrite is still there. My ammonia dropped to 0. So i added it back to 1-2ppm. And i was wondering how long nitrite takes to drop and the cycle ends. Im doing ammonia by fritz and fritz 900 turbo start.

A lot of the results depend on the test kit you are using. But, one good thing about marine tanks is that you don't need to be concerned about nitrites. Those are dangerous in freshwater tanks, but no problem in marine tanks. You are cycled once your system can reduce 1-2ppm ammonia to zero in a 24hr period.

Your nitrates will be what ends up increasing in the system. Typically, a young system isn't mature enough to process nitrates to nitrogen gas so the only way to control these is to perform water changes regularly.
