I brought home a square spot anthias on Saturday and put him in QT. He wedged himself sideways between the tank bottom and a rock I have in there. He won't come out, if I move the rock he finds it. Is this normal? 2 days hiding on the ground sideways? I'm wondering if he's getting stressed and I should just put him in my display full of rockwork for him to hide in or stick it out in QT for a while? Thoughts? He's not eating at all, just lying there hiding.

Thanks.

Gotta leave em alone, when he's comfy, he will come out. You could try tossing in a few pieces of food to get him out in a few days.

My lyretail did something similar. I didn't see him for a week after I put him in the DT, he was wedged in the rockwork sideways and not moving much but was alive. He slowly crept out over a few days and is now one of the most excitable fish. I say give him a few days and see what happens

Agreed it's normal anthias behavior.. They eventually come out.. And then never hide haha even at night if there is any ambient light they are out!
