How long should my skimmer be going nuts?

I have a bubble magnus that I bought used. It took about a week to break in then was doing great. Well I decided to use some dd aquascape putty. This skimmer has been going bonkers for 1 1/2 weeks now. How long does this stuff usually take to settle down? I have it running wide open and its overflowing with foam like crazy.

Not really sure as I've never used that brand putty. I did have a skimmer act like that for close to 3 weeks years ago with another brand.

Did you try running carbon?

A water change should slow the skimmer a bit. Run carbon just to see if that slows it down as well. It should stop after the putty fully cures. It takes a while

Ok I think I have it ironed out. Recommended water level was off as well. How does this look?
