Hi everyone,

When using Flatworm eXit they advise to use 1lb of carbon for every 50 gal of water. My reactor won't hold close to this, so I'm filling it as much as I can. How long should I run this increased amount before I return to the normal amount for my volume of water?

Thanks!

Any thoughts? My concern is that by increasing the amount of carbon I may end up over clarifying the water. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Also, should I have posted this is in the @Randy Holmes-Farley reef chemistry forum instead?

Flatworm eXit appeared to work. I'm going to keep the extra carbon in there until my water change next weekend unless anyone thinks I should step down earlier.

Dosed for the second time yesterday. Again have like 3 or 4 on the glass? I’ve got a 90 gallon, 20 gallon sump. Waited about 2 hours before adding carbon. Is it normal to still have a few left after dosing twice? It killed a lot of worms. Anyone ever do 3 doses? I added the entire bottle this time as well. Double dose.
