I was curious to see how long everyone runs their skimmers for. I always assumed I just leave it on all the time. But I have been reading post where people do all different types of cycles and I wanted to see what everyone does.

Off for about an hour a day after feeding PE mysis. The oils in PE makes the skimmer go into overdrive. I like to leave that oil in the water column for the corals to use.
Many people run them on a schedule to try and keep some nutrients in the water.

I am still setting up my new tank but I can share how I ran my previous tank and how I plan to run my new one after it is fully deployed. 12 hour cycle running opposite of my refugium lights.
