How long to wait between adding salt and testing salinity?

I ended up with salinity a little low in my DT and I'm slowly adding salt to get it where it's supposed to be. How long should I wait between adding more salt and testing?

BTW, no animals in the tank yet so no worries there.

Once it is fully dissolved - you should be good to retest.

Give it an hr.
With flow amd heat it.should mix up well.
If its still.cloudy its not.mixed. lol. Hths you

As in to the point where I can't see it anymore? Seems to happen pretty quickly when adding small amounts.

I would give it an hour to be safe

I usually wait a couple of hours to make sure it has mixed with the current tank water. I really depends on the tank turnover.

Test 10 minutes apart and when it stops changing it's all dissolved. So when you get 2 or 3 readings the same.
Which is going to be almost an hour.

Never add salt directly into the display tank though, correct with water changes

just so you dont create precipitation or hypersalinity zones near rocks, obv no livestock at stake
