So
I've got a few colonies of zoas that have recently started closing two or three days. How long do you wait before dipping for pests or in coral RX. They've been doing great...the slowly closing. No real changes. Parameters are right on target.

ide give it a few days. then dip them make sure no brown hard alage is on them or anything like that. if so use a q-tip and rub it off. one of my colonys closed for 1month and then opened back up.

Try blasting them with a turkey baster to remove possible irritants, also you can move it to low lighting and low flow area to see if it recovers. Keeping a good eye on them for signs of changes is the best thing you can do. IMO the faster you act the less likely you'll have damage or loss but I usually don't go the dip route unless the coral gets progressively worse as the days go by, A coral dip is last resort for me.
