How long to wait test after dosing magnesium?

How long is everyone waiting to test aftwr doaing magnesium? Have a 12g nano cube and would like to test after dosing to ensure propwr levels.

I generally wait 30 minutes that way I know the water has turned over several times and mixed.

With such low water volume don't you just make a water change? I have a 30 gallon nano. I just do a 3-gallon water change every 5 days

30 minutes, to an hour.

All depends on water volume and turnover rates. With such a small tank(12G), I wouldn't hesitate to test 10 minutes after dosing.

I change 2.5g once a week. But if I want to make sure I have the correct levels I always test.
