How long until anemone finds his happy place?

I am considering buying an anemone. I was wondering how long he'll move around before he settles in finds his happy place. Just an average or approximation. Also, do they ever relocate after this? If so, how often? I amasking because i am ready to place an online order for some corals, and plan on waiting until he stops moving before i place the order. That way he won't bother the new corals, and i can place them accordingly. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It all depends really, My nem stayed put where I put him for a few days and then decided to move about a foot away. I've had Nems that stay put for months to years and then one day decide to move. So, there will always be a chance of it moving on any given day.

I agree with above^^. They have a mind of their own. That's why we no longer have any in our reef. To much of a risk of it moving.

I 16/19 of my bta have stayed put within a day or two of putting them in.. now i have 3 that like to take walks around the tank eveey 2 or 3 days... hence i took all my coral out while i added all my bta's.

Dude they will never stop moving I've have a ritteri nem for 8 months it stayed in the same spot for about 2 weeks moved to the front glass and has just now moved to the side glass
