How long would wait to file a claim with PayPal?

Please read here before posting. Outside comments are not permitted per R2R's feedback forum policy. Hey everyone I was wondering how long would u give someone before you place a claim? I purchased a EB8 on the 23rd and the seller said he would ship the next day if I PayPal by that night. So I did. It was not shipped and then I sent him a pm and I asked if he has shipped the product out yet on the 26th. I waited for a couple days because I know the holidays get a little crazy for people. He replied that there were blizzard problems in Texas and have him stuck in panhandle and he would send it out today. It's now the 30th and has not sent anything. Should I file a claim?

Not sure if this is the place to post it but if is not, please moderators can you move it to the right place.

Contact PayPal
There are many rules about claims.
I think its 30 days before filing

IF this was a trusted source/trader, I might give him the benefit of the doubt here. Basically today is only the 3rd real business day since your transaction. (24th - only a 1/2 day really, 28, 29, and 30) Just a real crappy time during these 2 weeks. Is the trader communicating with you? IF so I would give him a break, but would be suspect for sure. GL!

Contact is minimal but the only thing that makes me worry is that the first deal was not followed through. Then on the second time we spoke he said he would ship out that day and failed to do so. I know it's a crappy time and but I would be fine if he told me "hey it's crazy can I ship out to later on this week." I have never been in this situation ever in buying or selling on This forum. Thank you for replying. I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt we all here because we all have love for the reef.

im with aces. the holidays get crazy, people get forgetful and preoccupied and the weather has been crazy(blizzards, flooding etc) in some areas of the country. with the way the holidays fell, its only been a few business days. Id say if they dont get it out by the next day or two, id be concerned and if it wasnt out by tuesday of next week, id be very concerned and looking into a claim.

honestly, I was a day late sending out a package this week. told the buyer I would have it out yesterday, but got preoccupied with a few other things and totally spaced. However, I did communicate that before they even asked, and I did get it out today. So, while I understand, being understanding only goes so far. however, depending on where exactly they are located, they could be dealing with some very serious weather issues, and if my house/life was flooding/snowed it, mailing a package would be low on the priority list. But a little communication goes a LONG way!
