How long is too long to have the lights on? Can corals die from too much light?
I don't have an algae issue but just curious...

Zooxanthellae really only require 6-8 hours to photosynthesize, anything past that just grows algae and eats electricity Corals can die from too much light, and in nature rarely experience more than four hours of intense light.
