The powerheads that will work best for you will be heavily impacted by the rockscape in your tank. I'm a big fan of gyre pumps, but that won't work if you don't have space for the water to flow between the rocks in the bottom of the tank.
Personally, I would get the rock work the way you want it, then figure out how to best get flow to match the structure you have.
