How many anthias could go in an 80?

I've got an 80 rimless that is pretty low stock on fish: 2 onyx clowns, and a midas blenny. That's it!!! I'm looking to add some bartlett's anthias pretty soon and I'm wondering how many to add; I'm thinking 4 or 5. I'm not sure if this is too many, just right, or not enough. I also want to add a fairy wrasse (flame?), and a yellow tang in the future (no rush though!). Do you think 80 gallons is enough to accomodate 4-5 anthias?

how good is your filtration? nitrates pretty low? clean water?

4-5 should be okay if you have got a great system and lots of flow with filtration. Anthias need multiple daily feedings to thrive. i feed mine twice a day. obviously, with more feeding means you need more filtration.

Also look at Dispar Anthias a smaller more passive and a shallow water species. If so 4-7 and try and get just one male or if on the small side, one that is larger than the rest will be best on any species of Anthias.

Nitrates are alway testing at 0. Pretty good filtration, plan on upgrading to a Bubble King double cone here soon.

Exactly how tricky are these to feed?

Not hard to feed per se, just need multiple daily feedings. I just do a morn/eve feeding

Have you had luck with feeding them pellets? I was thinking pellets in the AM and frozen in the PM

It all depends on your bioload capability. I had a 65 gallon with 14 anthias and everything sustained. I ran biopellets and I added each over time. So i am guessing you could get about the same.

Feeding was easy. No set schedule but multiple times of different foods: NLS pellets, frozen mysis, fish eggs, and cyclops.
