About how many Bimaculatus Anthias would you recommend for a lightly stocked (10 small fish) 500g reef aquarium? Don't want it to look too crowded but I'd like to avoid unnecessary aggression too. Thanks.

I’ve only got 2x20 gallon QT tanks and one of them is already holding 3 fish (Bangaii Cardinal pair and Royal Gramma). How many Bimacs can I fit in what’s left? Is it ok to ‘split’ a shoal of Anthias in QT like that?
I like this approach as well. Make sure all the females are substantially smaller than the male for as easy of integration as possible. I have a pair of pictillis and went against that rule of thumb and the female acclimated better than the male and was trying to over take it as dominant. Eventually the male took to the tank and held his own but definitely recommend much smaller females to go with the male. Can you get a larger QT for all at once? If not, I would think you can keep adding small females without much issueBimacs are not nearly as aggressive to each other as, say lyretails or Bartletts. I had eight in my prior 265. No problems, my favorite pseudoanthias. Only have four currently in my 450. I’d suggest trying to get six or so 3” females. Could QT those in a 20L.
