How many clownfish?

Hello, how many clownfish are recommended for a tank measuring L20”x W13x H17?
Are clownfish territorial? Also me being a newbie to saltwater tanks is it advisable just to go with one fish?thanks

for your tank 2 would only work. They are very territorial fish

2 clowns are the magic number! And you can have a few small fish and some inverts

I've noticed a trend with clowns:
1 by itself is fine
2 of different sizes but same genus is fine
20+ is fine most of the time
Never keep any number of clowns between 3-19, or you'll have issues.
Clowns are weird...just my two cents...

You could have different species as well in a bigger tank but yes, for a tank that size 1 or 2 same species.
