How many corals to get to a loaded tank feel?
I have a 60g with 4 lps and a rock flower nem. Also have 9 fish gonna end at either 10 or 11.
But how many frags should I expect to get and grow out?

I just want a rough idea does anyone else have around a 60g? I intend to try some on the sand soon yes.... I was thinking somewhere around 20 when grown out or so?

I have 1 frogspawn. 10 fish, 2 shrimp, several hermit crabs and pushing 45 + monti's/acros's, ect. My tank is a 120, 6 months old and in grow out mode now. Maybe a few more from my frag tank but we will see.
A few small colonies, mostly frags of variois size.
It really depends on placing, space, and the look your going for.

30....exactly 30. Seriously though, it depends a lot on your rockwork and if you like things on your sand or not.
All of them
Maybe start somewhere in between...

Jokes aside- Like sawdonkey said it really depends on your rockwork but also what kinds of corals do you want? how much do you want that coral to grow out?

Its best to think of what you want your colonies to look like and what parts you want to be covered by different kinds of corals where possible. its also important to think about how they will grow, the lighting where you place them, distance from eachother to avoid coral warfare etc.

You may want to take a photo with your tank and mess around on whatever software you like to make a map of sorts, I found that really helped me figure out what I want and where I want it. My plans have changed quite a bit for my tank since I made this but it gives you some idea of what I'm talking about. this is my 13.5 gallon for which I have 5 frags in QT and another 8 showing up in a few weeks. I hope this helps!

Be picky about what you put in. Don’t get something that’s invasive. I’ve had some zoas and palys that I thought looked cool at the lfs but after a few months became weeds.

This is a well packed 65g.
Fish = YT, BT, Clown Pair, Anthais, Gramma, Mandarin, Fire Shrimp, Cleaner Shrimp.
Clams = squamosha, crocea, Dersa maxima.
Corals = 62
