There is so much diversity in the ocean which is often the lure for SW aquarists. I have certainly succumb to wanting to keep a variety. The challenge is meeting the needs of each creature. In my system I needed 2 display tanks hooked to the same sump to do that. I have a crocea clam, LPS, ( frogspawn, hammer, blastos, Duncan's and wellso brain), 3 rbta, curlique anemone hosting a candy cane pistol shrimp, yellow polyps, blue clove polyps, various mushrooms, palys, 5 fish, a serpent starfish and a multitude of hermit crabs. That is in the 36 gallon tank. The 30 gallon tank houses a pair of H. erectus seahorses, a pair of red banded pipefish, a variety of leather corals, mushrooms and clove polyps, an Atlantic cucumber, a green lettuce nudibranch, peppermint shrimp, and a variety of snails. I relish each creature and the unique characteristics that they exhibit. Share your favorite creatures!
