How many Ecotech MP40s?

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on some Ecotech MP40s but not sure how many I would need. I have a 120 gallon tank (4ft x 2ft x 2ft) and its going to be a mixed reef for now. Any help would be great. Thank you!

2 will do nicely, if too much you can dial them down a bit

Mixed Reef, I’d say 2. If you decide to go acro, you can always add another or an MP10.

I think two of them should suffice since the max output is 4500gph which should provide plenty of flow. You’ll most likely have to dial them down abit. Great equipment

I have a 120g with two MP40’s with spa. Everything is happy and healthy.

I also have 2 in my 120 mixed reef. Both dialed way down. They are offset on opposite sides of the tank. I also use the Limpet wide flow guards.
