I’m getting a royal gramma and blue flasher wrasse this weekend but I would like to add another. I’m wondering if 3 fish would be too much to add another one? The tank is cycled and I can add some media from my dt. I just had a Mccoskers in there for a month and just lost it to jumping. I have a lid but it jumped into the chamber in the back that has the foam above the water (of course it couldn’t have been the other two that it could have survived in) if I can get away with 3, What fish would you recommend? It’s the Fluval flex 15
Thanks in advance

As long as they are all peaceful and small, you should be fine. Just put in some fake plastic plants, etc... so it breaks up the view of the tank. This allows the fish to "escape" sight of others if some aggression occurs. With that many fish, you will need to watch your ammonia levels at first to ensure your bacteria can handle that much waste.

Thank you, any recommendations on another fish to get that’s peaceful?

Just to help with some fish selection, it would matter which fish you wanted for the other tank and what you might already have as this is only a qt
I would say 3 is absolute max and keep an ammonia alert badge in the tank just in case

In my dt all I have is two clowns and a one spot foxface. I’m not really sure what the third fish would be, I was thinking maybe a carpenters flasher or another Mccoskers

There are so many peaceful options out there! I happen to really like Blennies and Gobies. A hawkfish is nice but they will eat any shrimp you may have in the tank.

I ended up going with the royal gramma and a pin tail fairy wrasse (the blue flasher jumped out of the tank at the store). I really want a flame hawk and will get one in the future and hope I get a peaceful one. I hear they have such great personalities!

Royal Grammas are peaceful typically for the first couple of years, then they can be a bit aggressive as they get older. I have a flame hawk and it is full of personality.

I hope that doesn’t happen to me, is your flame hawk agressive to any tank mates? And when did you add it in your stocking list?

My flame hawk hasn't been aggressive at all. In fact, my Tomini tang worked him over pretty good initially but all are getting along nicely now. The flame hawk has been the last fish I added to my tank so far.
