Curious how many in your 180g

I had Purple, Yellow, Gem, Powder Blue Tang, Regal Angelfish, 4 clown fish and a Lineatus Wrasse. Still had issues with Nitrate. My new tank im loading up more fishes!

220 (30" deep instead of 24", so pretty close to a 180.

I have a Purple, Yellow and Naso Tang. 2 Wrasses, Matted File File, Yellow Head Goby, Orange Spotted Goby, 2 Lyretail Anthias and Two Clown Fish, 12 fish total. Will likely add a few more smaller fish, probably 5 Talbot Damsel's and a couple Clown Gobies

4 Wrasses: Adorned (h. cosmetus), leopard (m. melagris), pintail (c. isosceles), flame (c. jordani), pink margin (c. rubrimarginatus),

16 fish. I probably won't add any more large fish (mayyyybe a copper band butterfly) but I'll likely add a couple more wrasses: flashers, fairy, or maybe another leopard.

I have 18 fish and a Japanese Dragon Eel.
8 triggers
3 tangs
2 clowns
1 Broomtail Wrasse
1 Harlequin Tusk
1 Miniatus Grouper
1 Squirrel fish

You’ve got 8 triggers, a tusk and a grouper in with those corals and clams? Impressive.

Forgot to add the Broomtail Wrasse. Yes this is definitely my favorite tank especially as I add more corals and they start filling in.

Can’t believe with those fish they don’t see your corals and clams like an all you can eat seafood buffet. No issues?

My tank dimensions are 36”x36” L&W and 48” tall Customisland overflow live rock with lps and sps. I run an oversized skimmer 57watt pentair uv and 10% weekly water changes. Also ATO and I dose calcium and NOPOX. Lights are x4 gen 5 radion XR 30 pros.

current critters are:

1Purple tang 5”
1 blonde naso male11”
1 powder blue tang 6”
1 foxface 4” juvenile
2 super storm clowns 1/2”
1 Midas blenny 4”
2 fire fish 3”
1 six line wrasse 2”
3 blue green axis chromis 2”
2 mandarin goby.

Just lost 3 anthias so no more of those guys second try even installed auto feeder this time no help!

I could probably have more fish especially but if you have a reef I think the attention needs to be on the coral I try to pick fish that are value adds not just pretty.

sorry about the amber filter on the video too much blue in my light spectrum otherwise

It’s interesting to see how many of you stock 180s more than the 300 I’m planning. :) But then my approach is getting the most out of each fish, giving them the space to feel comfortable and emphasizing social units over individual specimens, but hey, if it makes you happy why not? I just think it’s far more natural and beneficial to stock less and bring out the most in each fish by having them form social units, and have the comfort to claim their own territories without much aggression between each other.

Is it possible to have not one but five centerpieces? I don’t really like the term but for me it’ll be a nice pair of large (but not the huge species) angels and a nice trio of Centropyge / Paracentropyge. Obligatory Clown pair, pair of Taupou Damsels, trio of Orchid Dottybacks, and maybe, just maybe a Yellow Tang. All CB from Bali Aquarich and a breeder I have connections with.
