How many fish in your reef???

I have a 240g cube with 30 gallon sump that has been up for 2 years- about 200 lbs live rock, rlss 8 skimmer, 2 filter socks ( changed every 3 days, and i use the bubbling method ( CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER ) .. i stock a total of 15 fish in the tank ( 8 chromis, 2 yellow tangs, 1 hippo tang, 1 naso tang , 1 red wrasse and 2 clowns. i also have lots of snails. I keep sps in my tank and some lps. i am thinking i can add more fish- what are you guys and girls thoughts and what are you stocking?

wow- 40? what kind of coral are you keeping and what is your filtration?

You could add 10-20 more fish, but select a fish based on their role in your tank system. Add a few Tangs, great algae eaters, hearty fish. Add some schooling fish like Anthisis. They have great colors. Make sure you do your research

I have alot of softies..like anenomies..torches..cataphyillas..i have 4 hard corals not long gone in.
I have a basic sump set up with a fairly large skimmer

1x Dragonface Pipefish...how long have you had this pipefish, i heard they don't do well in high flow tanks ( mine is high flow ) and also there difficult to feed correctly.
also, my reef is barebottom

I originally added three to the tank in December. Two died within 3 weeks, the other is going strong. They just eat copepods I believe, of which I have plenty. The flow doesn't seem to bother him/her.

I have 12 in a 150 gallon with 30 gallon sump. I rarely add fish because some of my fish love to haze the new guys.
I added a powder blue tang 2 weeks ago and surprisingly my yellow tang and blue tang didn't bother it that much. I have a coral beauty and flame angel who have paired up and even sleep together in a cave. In a 240 you could add 10-15 more fish but remember when there's a power outage or equipment failure the more fish you have the more likely you might lose some but 40 in a 120 gallon that's crazy. Half of mine are over 10 years old and I've never lost a fish to a power outage
