I am having an incredibly hard time telling how many fish i should start my 75g with.

Rock is 5 weeks into a dark cure and is cycled. Filling the aquarium in 3 days.

How many fish should i start the tank with? I was planning 2 clowns, but i don't want to inadvertently starve the bacteria.

Starting with ocean direct sand and about 80 lbs liverock with a 29 gal sump (10 inch water level) with a media brick that has not yet been exposed to water.

Planning to reef a couple months into stabilization and start a refugium in the sump as soon as there are nutrients to suppot it.

I started with around 12 and quickly got it fully stocked with fish. Now just letting the corals grow in with 27 fish in the tank. Feel free to check out my 75 gallon build thread if you want more details

One of the most important rules in this hobby is patience. Nothing good happens fast here so although you will have a nice instant cycle with live ocean rock, I suggest you take your time with fish stocking and proper QT prior to adding them in. I think you are fine to start with 2 fish

+1 take your time. All of your fish are going to need their own territory and will have their own needs and "personalities" as such it's best to give each fish as much time to establish themselves as possible between new additions. You don't want to juggle getting 6 different picky fish to eat on top of managing params and the like, especially if it's your first time with a salt tank.
