How many fish to start with Dr. Tims

Question with Dr. Tim's. On day 7 (if all goes as planed) it says to add fish. I will be moving over 2 clowns, a royal gramma and a green chromis at some point. The clowns show some territorial aggression, especially to my hand which can be startling, so they will be close to last. I'm wondering how many fish to add on day seven. For now I'm thinking a chalk bass and a firefish to start but would there be a better number for the newly created bio filter? Thanks

Using bottled bacteria or not I would only add 1 for the first fish. If everything is stable after 2-3 weeks add one more and then after 2-4 more weeks you can add two. I would not suggest more than doubling the bioload at any point which is why I say that

Also depends on how big your system is .. if it's a nano tank then yes 1 fish first .. if it was a 90 gal or so then I would add 2 possibly 3 at first ..

Are you planning on keeping your alk so high ?? I believe Red Sea pro mixes at about 12 dkh ..? What are you planning on keeping in the tank ??

I currently have a biocube 29gal with a mix of lps and sps and plan on a bunch more sps for this new tank. I currently use and want to follow thier mixed reef recipe on thier coral care program. I do feel thier all is high but want to just follow the recipe.

It will rise and fall till your tank is more stable it's all part of the nitrogen cycle .. as you add more bio load nitrite will rise and then nitrate it just all takes time .. adding dr tims will help balance it in its younger stages ..!

What are you using as your ammonia source for the initial cycle? Dr. Tim's ammonium chloride, ghost feeding, or something else?

I'm using Dr.Tims ammonium chloride.
