Hi all , I started stockin my 320 gallon with fishes a littel while ago my last count was some where around 20 (not sure because I don't see a coupl of them regularly!) , is there an average number for a tank this size ? keep in mind that I also intend to eventually get corals too .

I have always heard whatever the max length of the fish u get. 1" per every 5gal of water u have including the sump. So for a 320gal tank that would be 64" of fish. Now most people including myself put way more than that in. But there is a starting point.

You can also just watch your NO3&PO4 and let your tank tell u what it can handle.

Hope this helps.

There are so many variables to the number of fish, that it is difficult to give a number. What fish do you have so far? What fish do you plan to get? What is your filtration?

It really is the sum total of a lot of things. If someone said 30 fish, do they mean 30 damsels or 30 Large Angels? Your parameters will eventually let you know. A 320g will hold a lot though.

All depends on what fish you're putting in there. I have less than 30 in my 1500 and believe it is border line overstocked. I could probably put 500 damsels in there and be just fine.

Also, take it slow. I have found that the larger the tank, the longer the tanks biological filtration needs to adjust.
That's really not a fact at all, just my experience and many others. Likely has more to do with the urge to fill up all that empty space so quickly

So far I have a couple damsels, tangs, Angels and blennies. I have a RO sss 5000 skimmer , de-nitrate , GFO and carbon reactors, Ozone , UV and a canister filter.

You have plenty of space. So long as your filtration is on point and you have plenty of caves, crevices etc you should be fine with a. Ice amount of livestock. Like BBaz said add them a few at a time so bacteria populations can grow to keep
Up with the amount of waste produced. What kind of filtration are you using?
