So like the title says when is there too many ? I currently have a eightline and line spot flasher in my 55g tank and I saw a royal and yellowfin flasher on liveaquarias divers den and I wanted to know if it is feasible to keep all 4 in the same tank or if adding them would start a battle royal ! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

You should be able to add more. Eightlines have a reputation as being the most aggressive of the Genus, but with care it will be successful.

there is no such thing as too many flashers in my book and u can always upgrade to a bigger tank

Agree. And I've always found the eightline to behave (in temperament) more like a Cirrhilabrus than a Paracheilinus.

Cool, sadly someone bought the yellowfin flasher so I was looking for a replacement and came across a naoko fairy. I've read that these guys can be mean and I've also seen people say they have had no issues so my question is what's the verdict on this guy ? Think it would be ok with my flashers

It would be a bit of a crap shoot. Being in the rubriventralis complex, the naoko is typically a bit more feisty than other Cirrhilabrus. Some specimens can be outright mean.

I was going to ask, how many can you really stick in, and does it really matter what type?

Ok I've placed my order and they should be arriving tomorrow morning, I'll make sure to keep a watchful eye on the naoko fingers crossed I get a nice one :)

Assuming we're only talking about a tank this size with flashers and nothing else, no; the species doesn't matter much. I would be comfortable doing up to as many as 8 (but I wouldn't recommend that for a beginner).
