On my 120G with sump I'm thinking about 110G total water, 10G ATO, fill once a week.

I think of my ATO reservoir in terms of number of days not volume. Mine will last 8 days in the Winter; 10 in the Summer. In the event all redundant controls failed (which DID happen once), the entire volume will not overflow the sump and only drop salinity down to 1.021. Not good, but not lethal. I also use the Avast barrel tender, so it will automatically refill the ATO and allow me to take trips longer than 8-10 days, but it makes me nervous.

120 gallon display and 30g sump. I use a 10G brute filled with kalk for my top off. It hides inside that white circular end table for wife approval.

50 gallon tank, 3 gallon ATO reservoir, lasts 7-8 days, so refilled during weekly water change.

someone should summarize the data.
There is a downside to having a large ATO reservoir if there is no safegaurd from having all the ATO water dumped into the sump.

I have my RO water directly fed to my sump, no intermediate tank. Ato is controlled by my Apex, and in sump electrical float switches. The output goes through a manual float in my sump as a backup. So no refill is needed. 120 gallon display.

looking into an auto top off for my ATO res ha... thinking of apex controller RODI line in with SV1- 2 OS1 for low and hight in my res and a float switch.

i even you guys that only evap less that .5 a day. I am about 2 gal a day :/

In my QT/frag system, it's a 29G with a 20G sump, 3G ATO filled every 3 days, so a gallon a day in that one.

The 180 total 207 gls has a 30 ato brute refill 1 or so a month maybe .

I have about 200 gallons total system volume with a 165g display. My ATO reservoir is 25 gallons which lasts me about 2 weeks with the tank set to 78 and house at 74.

ATO=40 gallon Automatically refills on its own every 3 weeks or so not really sure cause its all automated.
