How many heads of frogspawn is this?

I know that sounds like a funny question, but I’m not sure what’s considered a “head”. I’m going to sell this one, so would like to know how many heads it actually is so I don’t tell the buyer wrong. I took this pic right after moving it so you can see it better.

How are the colors on person? If it’s a nice green and blue/purple it’s worth some coin currently due to the ban. You could probably make more selling it off by the head. If the colors are sharp you’d get between $40 and $50 a head or so. That’s a lot of money.

I can’t tell if it’s got popping colors from the photo or not. It it’s really bright, probably $50 and up. Are you sure it’s branching?

Looks like fairly common colors. As long as it opens up nicely, should be able to get good money for it. I would frag it up into 2 to 3 head sizes. My LFS sells Frogspawn like this for about 20 to 3 bucks for 2 to 3 head frags.

Its worth as much as you get for it and how much effort you want to put in to selling it.

Personally I sell my corals for about half of what the local fish stores sells it for. When I sell I don't want many people coming over to my house and dealing with having to be home when the person doesn't show up. I just want to put it up for sale first person to come by gets it.

Or I take it to the local fish store for credit.

I usually get from 7-10 dollars store credit per head on trade ins to LFS. I would sell privately for about the same for single or double head frags, or less for a larger colony. My LFS doesn't really like taking big colonies since they have to frag them and sell them that way. Not many people want to spend the kind of money a LFS would charge for 30 head colony ($250 +). I would suggest private sale to someone you know (friend/fish club member), to be in the neighborhood of $50-75 for the colony or frag it up for sale to LFS for $7-$10 per head.

Is the ban affecting the retail cost of euphyllia so far? I haven't paid attention to prices on these corals much since I have had a giant colony of these for a few years now and just keep selling off the extras here and there.
