How many heaters I'n 225 and which ones!

I'd do 2x 200w or 2x 300w... How cold does the house get in winter?
Could also do 3x, if you have the outlets... Backup for the backup! ;)

How many of them should go in display
If I could do 1 in display 1 in sump that be great I have a rancho controller to control them !

Any recommendation on brand I just want a reliable heater nothing fancy

I have 2x300 watts in mine (225 display, 75+ sump), both are in the sump/fuge area.

Viaaqua titanium, won bros titanium are top notch heaters. Get a controller to run them, it will be the failsafe to not over heating your tank if the heater malfunctions. I run a 500w and 300w controlled by my rk elite/net on my 215g tank.

I ran a rancho controller on my last tank gonna try it again!
Although ill have to read up on them as I just checked my tank with a laser temp gun and it was 82 with lights off!

I don't have experience with saltwater but I have a big tank freshwater and I used 2x 300 watts and the brand is jäger.

The best brand I can recommend

Ive got 2 250w heaters in a 240g. Those would be the lowest I'd go in a tank your size.

I have 2 500watt finnex in mine. I use my rke to control since the one I had with the thermometer broke. Cut it off and hot wired it myself.

reefkeeper lite and 3 250 w on my 180 freshwater with a 40 sump. I like the extra power so I can put one in each overflow and one in the sump. never have any issues with it.

Not sure about such a large tank, as mine is smaller, but I would concur to bypass the regular heater types and go to higher wattage "heating elements".

In my 110, I know I'm on steroids with mine, but I have a 800 watt finnex element controlled by my apex.

I, just like everyone else has a tank fried by a heater. I then just said forget it and went with the element. It's been great so far.

On my 240 gallon/75 sump I run a 300 watt as primary (76.4 on 76.8 off) and a 250 watt (76.1 on 76.6 off) both controlled by apex and both jager heaters are set and tested regularly to go off on their own at 79 incase apex failed or kid or dog decided to pull the thermometer cable out of tank. The 250 rarely comes on and I keep room at 66 in winter
