So I know they're good members of our cuc. But in my little 25 gallon they are all I see when I feed the tank. I only have 2 yasha gobies so it's tough to feed the right amount.

Just added an arrow crab to hopefully whittle down the population some.

Anyone else have plague numbers of these guys?

I would pluck every one that I see...
There is such a thing as overpopulation!:p
I like a few because they are really good at getting in the tiny crevices and grabbing food before it decomposes.

I'd rather have micro brittle stars though!

1 is too many! Because they will spread! I would get rid of every last 1. I've only ever seen 1 in past 6 months and that was on 1 occasion! Never again! And I check every night and every morning for them! There are plenty of critters that do the same job!

say what ???

If you are seeing what seem to be an infestation I would guess your numbers are high. Bristle worms are definitely ok, very useful part of the clean up crew, I don't think they Do any harm, but high numbers could certainly be attributed to over feeding and if that population were to peak and have a large die off that could spike nitrates and phosphates, maybe even nitrites, which could be problematic. It seems you have your answer too, some method to reduce the population, and address the feeding. Yashas should like pellets and I find it much easier to control the amount I feed with pellets.
