I am currently in the process of building a new 65G tall aquarium. I need Advise on how many led light fixtures are required for this system. Currently I have a maxspect razr 130 watt on my 40g breeder Will that be enough?

Do I need to have two radion xr15s or two xr30s?
Could I get away with one xr30?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Do you mind listing the dimensions of that tank.

36 X 18 X 24

Sorry, I forgot to ask... what types of coral are you going to keep in there?

One XR30 will not have the proper spread for 36" of length. Two XR15w G4 would be absolutely perfect though. They can do up to 24" x 24", but 18" x 18" is their sweet spot.

Just lps.

So my maxspect would not be powerful enough to power the tank alone then? It's the 130wat model with two pods

I think it would work fine, but you might end up wanting the third pod of the 27" fixture. Depends what you're after.

I have the maxspect 27" over a 65. If I run it higher than 50% my corals bleach. I'd keep the razor u have. If u want more light get a retrofit 2 bulb t5

I'm using 2x XR30 and 1x XR15 over my 65G. I used three to eliminate shadowing.
