Ok I have a 26 gallon tank the dimensions are 36 x 12 x 16in deep I'm looking at going back to just LED lights. I would prefer one light but if two is better then that's the way I have to go. Would the hydra 32 work if I put it in the middle of the tank? Or do I go with two primes? Or something else?

Two primes would be the best option for coverage. If you did the Hydra 32 you would need to raise it quite a bit to cover the outer edges.

I have the AI prime 16hd on a IM 10 and my only complaint would be that the light goes out in a cone shape. So if you have a frag mounted off to the side of the tank(lets say purple stylo) only one side of the frag gets light, the other side gets none. Any frag that's "flat" (zoas, any plating coral) is fine. With that said I really like the light, plenty of power and programmable. It would be better if the LEDs were mounted around the edges instead of a cluster in the center.
I'd get two 16hds to get enough spread.
I tried to get a picture of what I'm saying but the flash from the camera takes away some of the shadowing. Look at the Bubblegum monti on the frag rack, that's the best example of it in the picture.
