I have a pair of Wyoming white and their pretty small. I’m looking to possibly add a few more pairs of different kinds probably maroon. I have a 112G. How many more could i have?
Other inhabitants besides cuc is starry blend and sand sifting star.

Tough to add multiple clowns at different times, they tend to kill each other.

I have 11 spotcintus in my 100 (all added at once), a pair of lightning maroons in my 50, a pair of phantoms in my 20 nano and 10 mixed captive bred Ocellaris in my 40 grow system. With the clowns that all came from the same batch or are just single pair are fine, even the maroons, who are notorious for murdering other clowns.

The mixed clown tank is a constant battle with the smaller ones getting beat up pretty bad. I have to separate them a lot to prevent causalities.

Now pairs of other types of fish, go to town... wrasses, lyretail angels, anthias, reef safe triggers, tons of options.

If you do add more clowns, try to get a lot of nems and feed them a lot to help minimize territorial aggression.

Good luck, whatever route you go!

Also, try to get them all really small.

Clowns can be tough on new additions later on especially 2 pairs in a 112 , I have one pair in a 150 and added a couple dart fish and One of the clowns grab them by the mid section near the top and took a street dive to the bottom like a killer whale on a seal, I had to get my acrylics stick and beat the crap out of him and til he let go, the dart fish now live on the right side and the clown fish live on the left side, the dark fish made it and is doing great but it was a $70 fish , I have a mccosker wrasse that can only come out at feeding time they turned on him 8 months after adding him :)

Also, try to get them all really small.

I have two 55 gallon grow outs with 3 juvenile pairs of each of the six Clownfish species in each tank. Lots of different varieties of anemones in each tank. Juvenile is 1.5” to 2.5” in length.

Aggression started two months in and then they had to be separated. Now they have egg crate to separate them from each other. Occasionally a small male will cross into another section but get bullied by the female right away.

I don’t recommend it. They will be moving into individual species tanks as soon as they grow big enough.
