looking to buy a new power head with a wave maker as the current one i have is pretty much wearing out. it was a cheap one from petco with the suction cups and doesn't stick no more.

used to have 2 with no wave maker and constantly getting dead spots around the rocks. i think one is rated for a 75gal tank the other was for a 40gal. some aqueon brand.

im looking to get the jebao pp4 or pp5 that comes with wavemakers already and seem to have good reviews but i was wondering for a 55gal how many should i put in? it's a FOWLR tank can't keep corals in my state only things i can keep are fish, rock, feather dusters, sea stars and zoa's which are hard to even get here due to state laws.

would 1 be enough or 2? also any recommendations pp4 or pp5 or someting else?

I would think one is enough for a fowlr. Curious; what state has that law against corals? I'm unaware of any state laws prohibiting coral.

Hawaii, iirc.
1 pump maybe ok depending on rockwork, otherwise may need 2 to eliminate dead spots

Yup. Two pp4 is more than enough.
I have two wp10 in my 30 and two wp25 in my 55. The 25 are almost too much.

yea i live in Hawaii. alright i think i will go with 2 then i think i will try out the pp5's and so maybe if the pp4's are too weak i can dial it down at least.
