How many radion Pro's should be above a 6'X4'

Hey guys,
Right now i am running a 80g begginer tank and want to upgrade once i have a handle of things in the future. i have already started buying the equipment for my 6'X4' tank along with designing it. but what i would like to get from the community here is how many radion Pro's should i have? (yes, i have decided to go with radions). I know that they cover 24" X24". does this mean 6 radions? does anyone have any experience with a tank this wide that can help me? if the optimal light is 24"X24" then i can deal with 6" on both sides where light still is effective. i dont plan on having a lot of life by my glass so that i have a nice space to view and watch.

Two radions on each side of the tank would provide enough par or your needs. Also, if you tilt them slightly toward the outer side of the tank you can increase the amount of light around the edges.

Two on each side so a total of 4. I'm not an expert but it would seem to me that, 24x24 coverage you would have a foot on the outer ends of limited lighting.
You could go 3 in front and 3 in back and absolutely no worries about lighting at all, even in the nooks and crannies!!! Lol
 
I am running 3 gen1 on my 180. I just ordered a 72Lx40Wx24D and plan on running 4 radions down the middle with 4 bulb T-5 down each side. Unless the spread is that much different from the gen1 to the pro I didnt like 24x24 they recommend.

They are lit up fine.... You get a little of the shadowing effect that you do from any led but you just need to be a little conscientious with coral placement. I had just one Radion over the 75 semi-cube and that system was a lot of SPS. I tried to put the TIR lenses that the GEN2 has and fried a couple of things on my smaller system that I have now. Right now the tank is 24" wide and I get a full spread with the light being about 1 foot above the water.

I really don't know if I should follow the 24x 24 with a 6x4 tank 3ft deep. It would require 6 radions and that will kill me. I might do 3-4 and additional lights on the sides.
 
i have 3 on my 200 deep dimension. 4L x 3w x 27 deep. no coral in there yet , but i have two on the one side with the pucks running length wise , then i have one on the right side running width wise. i may add a fourth , but that may not be needed. i may have only needed two , but the left island is much larger and i needed more light there. here is a shot. if you keep your rockwork centered in the tank and off the back wall you could probably just do the 4 and run them equally down the middle. they have good spread and i do not have any shadowing that i can tell. and they are dialed down. here is a shot

I like what you did there. What percentage are you currently running?
I would appreciate if you could keep me updates on how you like you lighting arrangement.

i am really not sure what percentage this shot is , but i believe this is around 75%. if you ever need an update along the way just check my build thread throught the link at the bottom of my post. Nate's SpS DoMiNated tank. tank is cycling and should have more info once tank has livestock in it. this is my first go at led and i must say i am having good hopes. the way i have them now seams to be plenty of light if not possibly too much. only time will tell. the radions are awesome units. good luck with your new setup. enjoy
